The Hidden's Ninja Lunge algorithm drastically extends the Z-axis hitbox reach and forward velocity of his primary attack. Survivors are forced to rely on frame-perfect timing of i-frame perks (Dodge) to deflect the extended lunge animation.

Hitbox analysis

Standard melee hitboxes in Violence District are roughly 2.5 studs. The Hidden's Ninja Lunge temporarily extends this to approximately 6 studs during the active animation window. On a tight window vault loop, the survivor is forced to extend the vault animation further to escape, drastically increasing their chase time.

Why standard counters fail

Sprint Boost grants 150% speed for 3 seconds. The Hidden's base speed (115%) plus the lunge velocity catches Sprint Boost users within 4-5 seconds of activation. Vault N Go has the same problem. Only Dodge's 0.5s of invincibility provides a clean escape, but the 60/50/40 second cooldown creates a hard gap where The Hidden catches the survivor unbuffed.

The Masked counter

The Masked's Tiger Mask stance is the only entity that can out-duel The Hidden in raw damage economy, because the Tiger instadown bypasses the entire chase math.
